Watching the Euros - Part 1

Here are a few things we've learned from watching the European Football Championships over the past couple of days. In particular, the England/France game.

1 - Wayne Rooney's hair is ridiculous. No way he should be able to play while he looks like that (his head could also do with some modification)
2 - Joelen Lescott surely had water on the brain when he was a child. Not picking on him, but that is an odd head.
3 - Steven Gerrard is still brilliant. Wonderful free kick pass to Lescott who scored England's goal v France. What might've been for Gerrard (and England)...
4 - I don't like Frank Ribery nor his nose.
5 - What is it with these "pretty" and "fancied" wingers like Robben, Ronaldo and Ribery? All of them play the refs more than the do with themselves.
6 - Robben's shirt is painted on
7 - England need him, so why not? Bring back Alan Shearer
8 - The Irish were robbed. A definite penalty, an offside Croatian goal and...ok, they weren't robbed. Still...
9 - Germany will win their group. France will still win theirs. Spain should too. Russia for Group A?

More to come...

  1. You forgot that Debuchy is over-rated. I mean if all it takes to be a good full back is to run forward all the time I play with a couple of superstars on a Wednesday night

  2. Thanks. I'll save that for blog #2 (assuming there is more than 1 viewing of this blog - sorry mum!)
