Scottish Premier League - Week 10 Preview

Scottish Premier League – Week 10 Preview

Mixed results midweek. Hope you followed the tweet of the Draw/Rangers result as the best bet following confirmation Rangers star Steven Naismith would not be playing following a two game suspension. But we missed out on the other game with Hibs having a shock home win at St Johnstone’s expense.

Another weekend full of fixtures with brief previews to follow.

Aberdeen v Dunfermline (Aberdeen @ $1.90, Draw @ $3.40)

This is the inaugural Friday night game in the SPL. Not exactly the dream matchup, and not one I’m overly keen to play. Aberdeen are struggling, while Dunfermline seem to be going backwards. Am taking the Aberdeen win purely cos they’re at home, but saving on the draw.

Dundee Utd v Motherwell (Draw @ $3.30)

Should be an entertaining contest. Dundee Utd have underperformed but are a decent side. Motherwell have hit the skids a little after an impressive start. Am going with the draw but no result would surprise me.

Rangers v Hibs (0-3 goals scored @ $1.53)

Rangers should win. They have the best form in the SPL. Despite Naismith’s absence, they should be far too good for Hibs. Having said that, I am expecting a decent performance from Hibs. Will take the 0-3 Total Goals Bands offered by Sportingbet.

Kilmarnock v St Johnstone (Draw @ $3.30, Kilmarnock @ $2.20)

Kilmarnock return home for an important game. Their home form has been good but they face a St Johnstone side who have an excellent away record. Will take the draw with a save also on the Killie win. No result would surprise in this one.

Inverness CT v St Mirren (Inverness @ $2.55, Draw @ $3.20)

I like Inverness at home in this one. They have been travelling along ok and are lengths better at home. St Mirren continue to do well but I feel the score line of their last game flattered them.

Hearts v Celtic (Celtic @ $1.65)

I expect an improved showing from Hearts compared to the crap they served at St Johnstone. I’m keen on the Celtic win though, but if there is any chance I see Majstorovic and/or Loovens lining up in defense for them, I will load up on Hearts. Good odds on offer for the Celtic win.
